Impact Whey quick question

So Terry Hollands only consumes 10-15% more protein than your average sporty jo? when he is 29stone and at the top of his game?

I would like to think the food he cosumes is vastly more than your average sporty jo

Or am i reading your post wrong?

Olympic strength athletes vs. other Olympic athletes.

And I should have been clearer = 10-15% more in terms of actual protein content relative to calories.

If Mr. Hollands needs 10000 calories a day to sustain himself, the protein content/ratio only needs to be 10-15% higher than somebody who needs 10000 calories a day (say an Olympic swimmer).

When you consider there is very little scientific evidence for skewed protein intake (such as that derived from whey shakes), I would like to think that it's just a matter of genetics, training and good, balanced diet that do it.

I have to say I find myself agreeing with your scepticism of whey protein supplements - the fact is you don't need to ingest 3x your bodyweight (I may be exaggerating a little) of protein for it to be useful, and the NPU (net protein utilisation) of most foods means that a lot of it isn't used, furthermore peak protein synthesis is around 30-40g - it's a bell curve or a SD curve. I take a shake post work out because I don't eat as soon as I'd like after training.

A balanced diet, with good fats, lots of fish, lots of green veg and fresh fruits is all you need.

My plan was to blend enough for 2 shakes, drink 1 right away and drink the other around 2 hours later. But I'll just clean it between shakes, not a huge deal.

I got some of this delivered yesterday in fact. A nice big 5kg bag of the strawberry. Got to say it tastes awesome with milk. With water though, jesus I nearly threw up this morning but managed to get that baby down. :p

I bought a 2.5KG unflavoured pouch. I was expecting a much smaller pouch.

Tried it with just water when I was low on milk, most disgusting thing I've drank in a while :p

Well this is the thing, I bought the myprotein whey which didn't come with a scoop. I noticed they sold scoops on the site for a reasonable price after i'd already committed to buying, d'oh.

I've just been adding a heaped tablespoon, not sure how that compares to a proper scoop? 25g is the proper amount correct?

Exact same thing happened to me. Depends on the size of your tablespoon lol, heres the size of it.
