I went to export my contacts from windows address book in windows xp, and the IMPORT/EXPORT option was not there. So instead I decided to select them all and then copy them across, not using the import/export (btw why was that option greyed out)

After I copied the contacts into windows contacts in vista, the contacts would not appear in the "contact selection" when i press "create mail" and then "to" using windows mail. Despite me seeing the contacts in the windows contacts ??
The only way around this I found was to double click each contact in windows contacts and then click on "add to my contacts". But I am confused why this is, as the contacts were obviously in windows contacts ? But were not showing up when I want to selet a contact when I send an e-mail ?
