Hey
I bought something from china that cost £212.
I was then punched in the face by HMRC with a bill of £102 for buying it...
(real rip off if you ask me.. thats 50% of the items VALUE!)
Anyway, turns out the item is fault, and has to be sent back, What happens with this £102 bill? Obviously I'm not going to pay it simply because once I return it I it will not longer be in the UK and I will buy the same item from a UK store.
Is there a process to follow regarding the customs bill? I basically want to inform them that the item is on its way back to China.
