Import insurance

Mate of mine is selling a newly imported integra type-r. Its absolutly mint and has a large list of mods. I'm going to see about getting some quotes for insurance. Is there anyone thats known for being import friendly?

I owned a newly imported MR2 Turbo and it wasn't really dear at all to insure via Elephant.

I'm 22 with 6 points, don't know how much that is going to matter compared to what I'm paying for the Accord at the moment.

Greenlight, Adrian flux and I believe sky are usually quite good insurers for modified cars.

I insure the Civic with Noel Dazely, £800 fully comp, 24 years old, 0 points, 2 NCD.

Heard good things about Sky Insurance too.

A-Plan are worth a punt too They cover my modified MR2 for £800 FC @ 22 with 1 years NCD

I'm with Sky Insurance (import and modified). Found them helpful and good to deal with over the phone - obviously price was good.

Never had to make a claim (hopefully never will!) so don't have any experience with the claims department.

And I'm 21, 1NCB and fairly rubbish postcode

A-Plan have a department that deals with imports - my old Celica was insured through them significantly cheaper than anyone else. If you struggle to speak to anyone sensible, I'll dig out a phone number.

I'm with Warwick-Davis. I'm paying ~£400 FC all mods declared. I tried A-Plan, Sky and a few others when renewal was due, but none of them could beat Warwick Davis for me.

Sky insurance are very popular on SXOC for imports and UK cars. I'm with them on std S14A. Really friendly staff.
