IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT REGARDING SATURDAY DELIVERY

Im based in Birmingham, I requested saturday but its automatically paid for Next day.. And now my order has went from Printed in our warehouse back to In our Warehouse Queue, This is my first time with OCuK and im a tad concerned, spending 1k is a lot for me online atleast!

They'll let anyone sign for it as far as i know.
 
Yeah I know but its not even that, my holidays just start tomorrow and im taking the day off for this order to come because nobody else will be home, and I want to enjoy some SERIOUS gaming before it's over.

I'm waiting for a delivery from OcUK too with DPD, and I'm really confused!!
This is the tracking info:

It was meant to arrive on thursday, but nobody ever came (someone was watching out all day!), and they left no Calling Card, but said no one was available. That confused me!

Then yesterday it was out for delivery on the van, I waited, and it never arrived again! I know there's a backlog but these circumstances make it seem strange!

Any clues as to what may be going on? If they missed us then surely they'd have left a Calling Card?

I am planning a big watercooling/case mod build for Xmas, got all my parts except the piping (cheapest but most important LOL) coming from OcUK along with 3x 140mm fans and some UV Cathodes...)

Just a bit puzzled :/
 
Had problems with them myself when i tracked the item for delivery it said on the van for delivery stayed in all day never turned up then it arrived the next day and there wasnt even any snow around there a joke some times.
 
Maybe the backlog is in sorting, if they have all their staff sorting everything out and ready for delivery on monday, maybe they'll just have their vans absolutely crammed full that day?

I wonder though, still seems illogical saying, there is a backlog so.. no delivery today.

Either way, looks like my two 6850s won't come until Monday, a bit gutted... but I really should revise anyway!

I'm at "Hub 3", I think there are problems there.


P.S, This is the first time overclockers haven't got the item to me the very next day, so... it's certainly not overclockers fault, the service here is second to none.

OCUK Really need to offer a different courier option than DPD they are aweful.

DPD are excellent, whenever I've ordered from OcUK and used DPD for delivery, regardless if it was a week delivery, next day or Saturday delivery, I'll check when the delivery is set to be delivered and sit around for that duration, I can safely say, every single time it's been on-time, on the dot with a friendly service. I've never been let down by DPD. I've asked for an order tomorrow, I'm not exactly expecting it to be delivered, especially considering the time of year and the fact that my area is blocked up with snow, although we shall see.

I'm interested as to which delivery service you see as fit, I can safely say DPD are a much better firm over the large firms such as Parcelforce and DHL.
