I have to admit I am thoroughly impressed with these new washing machines they are coming out with now. I just got a new electrolux high effeciency one.

Nearly silent, when it's not on high spin I can hardly tell if it's on.
No vibration
Washes AND dries a full load in 36 minutes.
Has a sanitize program that kills 99.9% of bacteria/allergens.
Has cool LEDs all over the place.
Uses hardly any water or electricity.
4.4 cubic foot load.

It's basically like living in the future.

You been up all night testing it out?

The machine in my flat looks new and i think it' a good brand, but the noise and vibration that comes off it in a high spin is laughable. Happy washing days.
 
While I appreciate that the washing machine may well be brilliant, it's too quiet in my opinion. All you hear is the clothes flopping around and it just sounds like someone is trapped in a box and frantically trying to escape.

My washing machine makes a whirring sound which you can easily tune out and forget about, but that would drive me mad.
 
We got a new one at uni, after I pulled numerous thongs out of the filter and a couple of the hoses.
Not worth replacing the seals said the landlord.

Had a whole 200 extra rpm on the spin, needless to say, I couldn't get less of a ****.
