Impressed with new washing machine

I got it in the US. Not sure if it's the exact same model as that video but it looks/works the same. I got white ones though.

I think a UK equivelent would be something like this one

or this

Usually I just buy Bosch for appliances but they didn't get good reviews on washing machines.

Those look pretty sweet! Finally some new tech in washing machines. Most of them just add water and spin around.

That washing machine looks amazing, I've still not ever lived anywhere yet where your allowed to have your own washing machine which is a real pain, It's actually a dream of mine to have my own decent washing machine one day, tbh I've been temped to install one where I live now without the landlords permission, my kitchen has a concrete floor so I shouldn't imagine it being too much of a problem in terms of noise/vibration, provided I use it at respectable times course.

Am I just imagining things or did washing machines used to foam up inside? Sure I remember that happening on our really old Hotpoint. But then when it broke after like 10 years of service, we replaced it with some cheapo machine and it hardly adds any water to the drum and just flops clothes about with no foaming action like the one in the op.

You have to use low sudsing soap in the high efficiency ones. Also I think phsphates have been banned, which made most of the foam.

A quick google & it looks like Electrolux supplies only integrated appliances for the UK market these days. Surprised at that, when I was in the trade years ago they made freestanding appliances too.

Zanussi & AEG are part of Electrolux so I'd look to see what would be the nearest machine to that one.

:rolleyes: Oh dear, I've just dropped into my old salesperson mode, old habits die hard. :(:p

Probably break down after a year and the spare parts will cost as much as the machine did.

I'll stick to my 12 year old trusty Servis. :)

Washing machines are the best human invention ever. Even better than cheese & onion crisps, Martian probes, or pornography. It took me a long time to realise this, but then I spent 6 months without a washing machine in a town with no laundrette.

All other tech is optional (ok, unless you're on dialysis) but not the washing machine.
