But not in a good way, here's the story (BT screwup story, may amuse some):
We have three phone lines into our premises, two lines on the same number used for calls, and a third on another number used for FAX and as our ADSL line. Tuesday morning our ADSL drops off and the line goes dead, then a few minutes later it comes back, however the ADSL won't connect, shows proper speed/etc on the line but no authentication so after a few minutes of messing around with filters into test sockets and whatnot we do a couple of basic tests (ringing a mobile off that line) and find out the number has changed, turns out they must have messed something up and crossed our line with somebody else's lol.
We call BT who are very apologetic and guarantee it will be solved by close of business Wednesday, were still waiting, the funny thing is whoevers line this is is now getting messages stored via call-minder, so their not going to be happy when they turn up to the hospital to find their appointments been moved
This ofc means our internet access is now being delivered via *cringe* 56k dial up, which as this is 2012 pretty much limits me to this forum lol (ill never complain about the basic design again
).
