What do we have to show off our new graphics cards and features ?.

I love running Unigine Valley on my 4k monitor, chosing a good spot and then turning wind and rain to maximum. There MUST be something much better these days though ??.

Forget superposition, tropics, heaven, Justice RTX, nvidia flex, 3D mark.

It's not clear as to what 'much better' would mean to you. Certainly if you want something visually impressive you could just max out RDR 2, go in St Denis in the center and just let the game run.

Greater detail and number of objects (insects, wind, raindrops, water effects, dust, ground veg). I'm surprised someone hasn't taken Valley and vastly updated it.

Boot up Hitman 2, Paris level, marvel in how they crammed that entire level in at that amount of detail.

I know what OP is getting at, there was a time when benchmarks would show you the cutting edge. Mother nature comes to mind from 3D Mark, we used to say wow imagine a game that looked like that. Then we go crysis and now RDR2 i'd say is first next gen looking title I've played, at times the game is actually breathtaking.

Yeah they were impressive, some written by the many fringe groups out there. Also a demo on the news once, a supercomputer dedicated to run one colour vdu, a beach scene with waves, insects, day/night cycles.

RDR2 ?
