Only just started playing Metro 2033,Theres times where the FPS will dip below 25fps and get stutter, then shoot back up to 45-50 fps...only happens occasionaly any other times runs fine and fps is good.

System specs are in Siggy. :)

Would you say its my CPU causing the stutter/fps drop because its stock?

I think your settings are too high for a single GTX 670. It's a massively demanding game at max settings. Try changing to AAA instead of 4xMSAA and see if it stops.

My 4770K at 4.5GHz with overclocked 670s in SLI cannot do a constant 60fps at 1080p, though it's fine in undemanding parts. This is a benchmark I took before:

It dips quite a bit in the demanding part of the benchmark.

One thing I would ask: is hyperthreading enabled? The game needs an i7 or 8 core CPU to avoid stuttering.

Good luck running the game at MAX! As everyone has said, that game is very demanding and doesn't surprise me you are getting the results you are.

Need to drop them down a bit, my Phemom and 6950 show their age a little with this game and I haven't touched last light yet!
