reversing into a space is better anyway, well unless you are nicking a space
I find driving forward into a bay is better. It's much easier to get your shopping trolley right next to the boot and load it.
...We are talking about parking? implying to me a car park so no 'road' to reverse out onto.
You drive into the space in one go and reverse out in one go. Couldn't really be easier. You spend more time reversing in than it takes to reverse out and there's less space to reverse into than there is when reversing out.
Plus as mentioned shopping goes in the boot easier when you can actually open it
No need to make it harder.
Plus there's the whole thing where the end of the car that you can swing about is also the end of the car not stuck between two other cars.
Unless you're feeding a huge family, you should be able to fit your shopping on the back seat anyway

Some people are talking about parking in bays and others are talking about onstreet. Onstreet parking is much easier reversing.
My parking is crap, I will fully admit it.
However, its because I just cant be arsed with messing around with multi point manouvers to try and shoehorn a car into some ridiculous space, like you see so many people do.
If I cant just drive into it then I find somewhere else! I rarely parallel park, and cant even remember when I last did so and ive been driving for years.
Who cares if you can parallel park or not?
I can however do the handbrake turn into a space trick, but not on a public road obviously! I find it easier to do that than actually parallel park, its a most bizarre situation.
Thank god I dont live in London, where parking a smart car is like threading an eye of a needle there is so little room.

You need to swing it in. Basically aim for the centre of the car in the next space and creep in slowly swinging it around.
Reversing in is easy enough and parallel parking will come with time. You might find using marker points on the wipers/bonnets to help gauge how close you are to a kerb or when you need to be swinging it etc.
Just takes time.

Tbh I would suggest trying without the camera, not that many cars have one & when you do get your 1st car you would be better served by not having to rely on a camera.
Parking the S Class I will usually reverse in unless I am going to somewhere where I will need to load stuff into the boot, unless there is an adjacent footpath.
Never found parking to be an issue that I needed to practice though but if I did I would practice with cones in an empty car park.
