In an ideal world... What is your next car?

Not planning on changing for a while yet then?

Not really. Add in £4k from a trade in of the current Focus on top of the inevitable escalation of depreciation once the new 5 series is actually on the road, it won't take long at all. This time next year I reckon.

they dont make the car I want!

in an ideal world I would like my current octavia vrs with 4 wheel drive and about 250bhp

I would never need another car then!

Civic Type R (EP3) or Integra DC2. Cant get affordable insurance on any of them :( So i'll settle for a EP2 Civic Or a Fiesta Zetec S :D

Most likely an S2000...might as well get a 2-seater while my circumstances allow it!

Wondering if my DC2 honeymoon period will ever end though. 12 months in... :S

Without a doubt it would be a BMW E28 M5....been in love with these for years.

Unfortunately i need something that is cheap to run and sensible rather than something that i would need to pump my money into.:(

I think I'd like something a bit bigger, currently pondering an Octavia VRS Estate. But I'm also going to look at a Focus ST, Golf, CTR et al.

It really depends. In an "ideal" world I'll be able to stick with my 205 for a year and a half longer, save up some dough and treat myself to an E34 M5 in Daytona Violet as soon as I've completed my apprenticeship (with the view of driving it up to Crewe for my graduation ceremony :)).

They aren't expensive (You'll struggle to spend much more than £5,000 on one), nor are they particularly quick or cheap to run (I've heard some real horror stories about 3.8s!) but I do really want one especially in Daytona Violet (In fact, I wouldn't compromise at all on the colour), if anything as a reward for sticking with my apprenticeship by allowing myself to buy a no-compromise example of a "dream" car of mine.

Getting a M5 really does depend on me kicking my habit of changing cars every 6 months. If I REALLY feel like I have to change the 205 sooner than that I'll probably end up with a e34 535i Sport or 525i/530i V8 in an "interesting" colour (Avus Blue, Techno Violet or Daytona Violet).

I absolutely love this, along with the E39 Sport, the E38 facelift and the E31 8 series I think the later E34 5 series is the best looking BMW going ...although the E46 Sport couple facelift is damn fine too.
