Hello all,

I'm looking to get some in-ear headphones (the type with the squidgy bits that go in your ear) after my last two pairs ended up in the washing machine :o

I remember using the premium apple ones and thinking they were really good, but many reviews seem to suggest the build quality of them is attrocious and I don't really fancy having to keep returning them (although I have used lawyer power to force a refund at an apple store before :p).

Any ideas? Thank you very much for your time :)

A lawyer eh, must have cost ya!

I would reccomend sennheiser, how ever i am not sure what model.

I have the cx300ii, they were only 15 pound and sound nearly on par to my 130 pounds audio tecnica headphones, so i can only imagine 75 pound sennheisers will sound brilliant!

What sort of sound are you after? Do you like lots of bass?

I've been lugging around some seinnheiser 555s which I always adored but now find them very bass light having used some in ear headphones. I do like a fair bit o' bass but not to the point that it starts hurting my ears after prolonged use, because I do wear them a lot.

And it was my own lawyer power, thankfully :p

Oh fair enough haha!

I find my sennhiesers bassy enough, listen to a lot of hip hop, dubstep, and it sounds great.

But it probably changes from model to model, i dont know enough about their range to comment!

Seinnheiser in-ears seem (in my opinion) really bass heavy, much more so than their headphones, I also have to say that although I personally don't enjoy the sound from the CX300-II's much they are made pretty sturdy as most of my in ears last a month or two before being returned, the Seinnheisers managed to last me 6 months and still were working if not with a broken jack plug :o

Klipsh S4 are meant to have really good bass, though I read they are lacking in the higher range, which in the end turned me away from them.

I have Jays Qjays and I'm really impressed with them so check out the Jays range and read some reviews.

I think i read somewhere that "shure" make some good in ear headphones, how ever no personal experience!

You could check out some online reviews of them though.

Thanks for the input guys :)

Anyone other opinions?

Denon AH-C751 - very, very nice pair of earbuds - very detailed with well-defined but not overpowering levels of bass. Got them after reading around on head-fi, and they seemed to be the best earphones for around £100. They came down in price from around £150 when Denon brought out a new model. I found them online delivered for around £60-70 around 8 months ago. Highly recommended. :)

Oh, and in reply to the suggestion of shures - I got a pair shure se-210 before, and the Denon's are much better - the bass on the shures is really anaemic in comparison and the mids and trebles not as accurate and detailed.
