I have played the following and really enjoyed them because of their limited boring role playing text, but decent storyline and game play:

Diablo 2
Titan Quest
Sacred
Dungeon Siege 2
Cabal online

I really enjoy leveling, gaining new items and progressing through the game killing bigger and badder bosses.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what to play next? Preferably offline.
 
hmmm, i would suggest gothic 3, a lot of people would call it buggy, but recent patches have solved those and it played like a treat.

wait a little longer and age of conan online comes out, its all real time combat, so no press 1, and spam 4

You might like Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, there good games.

Spellforce 2 isnt that good at all imo, its cheap attempt at warcraft 3.

Have you tried Baulders Gate series? How about Knights of the old Republic?

I've always wanted to try Neverwinter Nights series, but i dont really understand nor want to understand the D&D rule set.
 
You dont need to understand the ruleset to enjoy it. Ive quite happily and sucessfully completed most of the baldurs gate and nwn1 and part of 2 with very little understanding of the ruleset used.
 
Was going to suggest MUonline since that's exactly like diablo 2 in 3d, but no quests or ending since it's online.
