Agree. There are these fancy huge philips things with all these mad features and price tag to match but my Braun is going strong 7 years on.

All my Brauns have given me a very close shave.
The secret is to wet your face and dry so the stubble sticks up.
After a while do the same and so on.
However I must have the facial hair that the shaver suits.
I just use some hair clippers, grade 1 on my face
Same here, I just take the guard off and get rid of most of it, unless I'm going to something special, in which case it's a wet shave.
I have a Braun synchro pro 7790 and it's very good, and for the most part very close... but not perfect unfortunately. Neck and jawline is a bizzatch for it, especially with my stubble.

The i-trim is the one to get imo...brilliant bit of kit! i had tried loads and didnt get on with them, this one is perfect

I did, didn't really come up with anything conclusive.

That's because there is nothing conclusive, it's all down to personal preference.
