I prefer them that way :P In desktop apps such as blender, photoshop etc.. you get more screen space, and the controls stay the same size, in games things get scaled up. I would have got a 40" screen but you can't get one at that resolution and price!

i did originally have them landscape while i was waiting for the third screen (using my tv as the middle one (which is currently mounted behind those screens at the foot of my bed :D ) The extra height is really useful though.
 
Are the razer extended mats a good alternative?

I think I prefer the razer mats tbh.

Oh wow £30 for the cheapest razer mat, think I'll get the aerocool in that case.

How on earth can razer justify that cost??
 
The Razers look like lovely mats but £30 for a CLOTH mousepad is remarkably insane.

The Aerocool xl mat on ocuk looks the same almost and is half the price.
