In your opinion the best Whisky...

Has to be Rosebank for me, flora & fauna bottle is a lovely dram.

With the big names, you almost can't go wrong in a way, really just depends on what mood you're in.
I've become quite a fan of the Glenmorangie Quina Ruban, occasionally see it at decent prices in the supermarket.

The Balvenie Doublewood is a little special for the price they sell it at. Goes down nicely.

There is a website called thewhiskeyexchange which has thousands upon thousands of whisky, whiskey, bourbon and varies other liquors. One of the real picks at around £50 is the Highland Park 18yo which got 95.5 points in this years whisky bible.

I'll get stick for this but I'll say Glenmorangie, then again I've only tried a few so far so I've a whole world of whisky ahead of me.

it would be better to give price points as well, for example someone might come out with a £300 bottle of whisky and say its the best, but its hard to compare that with a £25 bottle.

whats the best 70cl bottle you can get for £15, £20, £25 and £30?

my dad has bought quite a few bottles of royal salute, different colours. i think they are worth quite a bit, but i need some recommendations, for the above budgets. for his 50th birthday i got him 3 different ages of glenfiddich, think it was 12, 16 and 18 or 12, 18 and 21, cant remember, but he liked them anyway, they were all finished within a couple of weeks.

personally, i cant tell the difference between a £2 bottle of whisky from india or a £20 bottle from scotland, ive tried both with coke and they tasted the exact same.

i had 1 whisky in canada with coke and it was amazing, tasted like candy, cant remember what one it was, but im sure it was canadian (called rye if im correct).
