Inappropriate use of 999 or not?

Wait a minute. Kids outside a shop make people too intimidated to go inside and buy what they want?

"Quick get the police! I need milk but there's kids around!"

Why not just man up lol or just let a woman do the shopping while you stay home and play call of duty.

Again we don't know the story behind why the police were there. For you all you they could have been shouting abuse or spitting on people as they went into the shop.

As I was walking past said something quick and polite like "Excuse me, people have been seeing you around these guys for almost an hour it looks kind of bad, mate." Just voiced my opinion in a cheerful tone while walking past and it seemed to work. Wouldn't have mentioned anything if I didn't have to walk in his direction. It was highly likely one of them would eventually say something stupid/eventually incriminate themselves, and that's what the officer looked like he was waiting for.

Did you stand there watching for an hour before 'cheerfully mentioning'?

You also seem to have a bit of a track record having run-ins with coppers don't you?

Feel free to correct me but i'm certain ive seen a couple of posts from you before about getting stopped then trying to be a smart ****.

Some rougher places they can be nasty little ***** who won't hesitate to use physical violence or threaten such.

In Brazil gangs of young children routinely rob people. The Locals call such Gangs "Piranhas".

It would be almost impossible to defend yourself against half a dozen 10 year olds attempting to steal your groceries or money.

Sure you could hit them, but guess who would end up in prison!

Asim often types on these forums that he has run-ins with the police. I think the reality is somewhat different.

Oh asim you are hilarious.

You do realise that they may have been talking to officers because they're actually on good terms? As for the incimination bit: lol. Just lol.

Clearly your prejudices are clouding any sense of perspective.

The kids were only around 8-12 years old. if they put you off visiting the shop you need to man up.

anyway it's a corner shop there's nearly always someone hanging around outside it.

never had any hassle from the locals my self nor witnessed anyone else getting any

Hell in Liverpool a 8 year old Skallwag let a firework off between my legs cause I wouldnt sell him a free rag mag.

police are all mouth.

saw a police van the other day at the local shop talking to some kids like they was a curfew in place or something and they shouldn't be on the streets.

and they wonder why these kids grow into teenagers that don't like the police.

without the uniform half of them would be crapping themselves in the fetal position.

fail at life join the police to treat people like criminals regardless or the circumstances surrounding the interaction.

there was a time I would greet a copper with a friendly hello but not after the things I have witnessed

I love comments like this, always make me chuckle.

They'd be the first people you call when ******** yourself and needing help. You know, I know, we all know.

Awaits the macho Internet response of "I'd deal with it myself".

I had a night out in Cardiff last week and the police were really nice. They were chatting to a few people and even posing for pictures when asked. I find it funny how the same people always seem to have run ins with the police. The only time I've ever dealt with them is when my car broke down in the middle of the road and they helped move it.

I know this was just about a sandwich, but if the police don't care about seagulls then out of interest, who are you supposed to call if violent seagulls are attacking people? The army? The local farmer with his gun? Local Karate dojo?

Round here the police do actually show up to seagull attacks, but only because it usually results in people running round the street with katanas and air rifles lol.

So hanging around a group of ghetto looking boys for over one hour doing absolutely nothing while hoping they incriminate themselves while completely ignoring potential crimes which are occurring elsewhere is a good use of police time as long as you think its on "good terms".

Lmao its crystal clear whos judgement is clouded and who has absolutely no idea of police tactics.

omg - my friend had his sandwich stolen by a seagull in Bristol city centre in front of my very eyes - it dive bombed and attacked him  :D

Probably a good chance it was the same bird :D

Haha thread is hilarious, making it look like Seagulls are an an impending army of doom, sitting around perching waiting to dive bomb unsuspecting humans for their food, the Seagull army is taking over!!

Not sure what's hard to believe about that?

Police do illegal things all the time, or at least target people who don't know their rights for illegal searches/harassment/demonstration of authority etc.

In fact I've even had to intervene once when an officer was harassing a group of innocent black youths for over an hour.

In fact they used to teach us lessons at secondary school on how to deal with police and what they can/cant do, that's how big of a problem it is. Too bad those black youths didn't pay attention in those lessons or they wouldn't have needed me to turn up.

This is really you isn't it Asim? :D
