"Inbox me"

Can someone confirm that this is incorrect grammer:

"Hi, can I get a medium coffee?"

rather than:

"Hi, can I have a medium coffee?"

Before I rant on about how insanely stupid it is, I just want to check I'm correct. It drives me up the freaking wall...

Why don't you ask you local Eastern European barista? They'll probably have a better understanding of the English language.

Serious response: "Inbox me" is a phrase used to differentiate between what you would otherwise say, which is "message me", so they don't think you mean send me a text message - which is what message me normally refers to. Hope that helps!

Serious response to anyone using that - It's called email, which is different from sending a text message. You email someone or you text them. You don't message them without someone specifying which system is to be used, and even then you usually message someone on Facebook, Twitter, eBay, or the like, as it generally refers to something NOT email or text...
WhatsApping someone is slightly different and open to individual preference, so long as WhatsApp (and similar) is mentioned in some way.

Perfectly correct - Yes, you can get a medium coffee from our shop just over there... but you can't have one right now, as we're closed for lunch. You can have one when we open in 20 minutes.

Grammatically correct, but not so polite, really.

We're all just terrible pedants, if it's understandable and not horribly incorrect I don't see it as a real issue or worth correcting. I've probably been guilty of asking to "get" something on multiple occasions.

There are far more pressing issues in my life then to worry about such miner (:D) indiscretions.

#ontrend I guess (only just discovered this the other day on The Apprentice).

I hate this planet sometimes.

I've only just realised it was Diddums.

Was thinking to myself how odd it was to have a new member with a username 'Inbox Me' just after Diddums posted a thread about 'Inbox me'.

It's been a long, hard week.

GG Mods.

No, because you're not the one who will get it, they are.
They will give it, you will get it.... :p
Unless it's one o' them independent Self-Service places, of course!

The only Inbox I'm interested in is my lady friend's.
And when she sees that remark, you will be immediately Friend-Boxed from her Inbox!!

And when did you last see a miner being indiscrete, exactly?
