Ah, OK - either it didn't say fire when they first posted, or I didn't notice

Must be fairly serious if they stopped all traffic - or is that normal procedure?

They never sorted it, they simply made sure any fire would not cause a plane to come down. I am not sure they ever found the issues catalyst...

Did you even read the article? It says quite clearly that its standard procedure if fire crews are taken up :confused:

I'm not an aviation type or anything, but I would imagine that means that all Dreamliners will be grounded immediately. Doesn't really bode well for Boeing does it.

When I first started typing there wasn't even an article - just a breaking news banner on the BBC site. Then when there was actually page it was just one para and really didn't say what was going on....because nobody knew at that point. It was a developing story so get off my back, chump

Good news for Airbus.

Last week on a Thompson flight into Gatwick the pilot was very proud pointing out their first dreamliner parked up.

It's not confirmed if it's the battery or not yet.

Good fix! The Ethopian plane in the background of that vid was probably the one that was on fire at Heathrow

I would say either the faulty wires or battery or both or maybe some wires for lights,etc.. may faulty that boeing cant find it... remember it mentioned years ago when 787 built up and then got problems with wires so that i think the wires may got lots of problems which cause fire..
