Was wondering something about the mobile Opera browser incognito private mode. I'm aware that history isn't kept when the browser is closed and apparently neither is anything in the cache. Does an android phone hold any data down in its bowels relating to anything browsed with opera incognito private browsing?

Google will almost certainly retain any search data and of course your ISP is required by law to hold on to it for 12 months i believe. The only real way incognito modes work properly is in conjunction with a VPN, since you get end to end encryption between your PC and the server you're connected to.

I think it must keep something - I don't really use it much - mostly to get around sites that have silly cookie based restrictions - but often it will switch to that mode with the last displayed page using that mode loaded up if I don't close it specifically.

Even then you can scrape some data from the phone, for example the last few words typed on certain Android keyboards are accessible.
