increase pcie frequency

my 4870x2 (powercolour) artifacts when the GPU clock is above 789. My card is at 789/1125 on both gpu's, will increasing pcie frequency also help me increase this.

Highly doubt it. Your core clocks probably too high. Have you overclocked the card yourself or is it at stock?

Does it artifact in games or on a overclocking utility, I have overclocked mine to 780/950
And in games all seems well.
I have my Pci-e at 110 in bios.

Question how far can you push memory?

that memory clock is too high, the core is prob ok.

I have overclocked it myself using rivatuner.
It artifacts in ati tools artifact check. I haven't tested if it artifacts in 3dmark or games above 789 yet.

I know the memory clock is high but I increase whilst keeping core clock at stock and it didnt artifact at all even at 1125.
or do you mean that a lower memory clock would allow a higher core clock?
