Increasing 74gb Raptor Performance

Hi,

I have just built a new system and i would like to try and tweak my raptor. Would anyone be able to suggest a good guide/tutorial? I'm using Vista 64 Business.

When you say tweaking what sort of results are you looking to achieve? What are you seeing that's making you want to improve things?
 
I'm getting good results atm.

But like anyone else, i would hope that there is room for improvement.
 
The above results are bellow par for a 16MB Raptor.

You can Kill Acoustic Managment on your Raptor using the Hitachi Feature tool (it may or may not be active), drive will seek faster but be louder.

In Vista a HDD runs slower, I have posted info in previous threads with info on how to get this speed back .
 
Thanks helutcheese. I'm using a 74GB raptor. I'll kill the Acoustic Management. What should i search for when looking for the threads you are talking about? Can you give me a link?
