Incredmail will not install ?

Hi

My mate has just bought a new laptop and cannot install incredimail onto it, every attempt to install produces a error stating that there is a problem with the file sfttv32.dll .
The sfttv32.dll file is in the windows\system32 folder and also inside the incredimail install folder but no matter how many times he tries he cannot install it.
Strange thing is incredimail installs fine on his desktop pc with no errors at all ?

Basic specs for his pcs are

Desktop

athlon xp2500
512 ram
abit mboard
running windows xp with service pack 2 and all the latest patches

Laptop

2 gig core 2 duo cpu
1 gig ram
running windows xp with service pack 2 and all the latest patches

Any ideas people ?

is he trying to install the bata version? if not, try the bata version. but if that doesn't work he may need to reinstall windows xp then try installing incredmaill.

He has tried to install all kinds of incredmail, we found a website with older versions and all these cmae up with the sfttv32.dll error .
I really do hope a reinstall of windows is not needed :eek:

sounds like a bug in windows system files. have you tryed copying the sfttv32.dll from the desktop computer to the laptop?

Not tried that but I think my mate downloaded the sfttv32.dll off the net and that did not solve the problem.
I will however pass on the advice and see if the desktop file cures the problem.
