India

Yes. Great place but as others have said you need to man up and be willing to step out of your comfort zone. Not for the faint hearted but so much to explore and see.

I'm sure that the woman who got gang raped and the man who got beaten half to death and forced to watch the other day had a great time too

I think when you are trekking around and on a budget for instance and sharing info with fellow travellers and they call a place a ****ole what they really mean is the water is bad, food will make you vomit, every one will try and rip you off, and your an idiot just for being there.

And yes in the end it is all just life experience, you just have to be aware of the dangers, (no offence implied).

I personally feel people who pay thousands to sit in a resort for 2 weeks are idiots. It's all down to personal preferences.

Good curry over there I hear.

I'd like to go but the heat and humidity would kick my ass being that I suffer from hyperhidrosis (And no driclor and the like don't work, they actually make it worse) I'd likely sweat my ******** off in a literal sense somehow.

Wouldn't go by myself though, I'd definitely have to go with a group of people.
I know 2 different people who got taken for everything they had and hospitalised when they were traveling alone.

I went in February, started in Mumbai, head down to Goa and the surrounding areas. I did struggle to start with. The humidity really got me. However, after a couple of weeks I got used to it. Lot's of water, hat on at all times and no rushing around haha.

The southern states are great.
I've been to Chennai and Bangalore, also popped over into kerela.

I really don't like the sound of Delhi or Mumbai though.

Great pictures in the thread Steve, the trip does look excellent!

Might have to pop back to India and see it properly, but I've got too much of SE Asia to see at the moment :)

Cheers mate - yeah you and I both except now I'm based out of Sydney so it's probably a little easier for me :D
