Just having a discussion about indian food here ... but nobody I know seems to have any idea what one of the dips is called...

So we have Raita, Mango Chutney, little bits of veg and cucumber and stuff. and the mystery item, Red slightly flakey stuff which we suspect might contain coconut.

OcUK help us! what is the mystery 'red stuff'

I've had the stuff he's after & it's not lime pickle.
It's definitely got ground coconut in it, predominately coconut even. It's a dry dish so not really a chutney or pickle as such, it's not that spicy either:)

mmm indian food, I went to india a little while back (south) their foods nothing like our version of indian currys, ours are very oily and greasy theres are very light :)

I know exactly the dish he's talking about & it is definitely not lime chutney or pickle. It neither looks like it, tastes like it or contains lime:)
It's just like 'ground red coconut powder', with maybe a hint of red chillies:)
