Indiana Jones reboot Staring Pedro Pascal

It seems there are two elements to the story, Disney are rumoured to be planning to reboot Indiana Jones and then an entirely contrived and speculative Pedro Pascal would be a popular choice if they rebooted. The Disney rumour has cropped up elsewhere than just the Mail. To be honest given their modus operandi these days I'd be amazed if they weren't looking to reboot it.
A quick google search only shows stories about the Indy reboot and pedro in the last few days, maybe 1 week tops. My google skills may be failing me though.

I don't care either way as I know it's just bs and people are too chicken **** to just state their honest opinions for creating these types of threads about DEIsney stuff, but if it has shown up in other places, sauce pls!

Thought I been pretty clear in the past and in this thread no? I started this thread so I reply.

I’ve been rewatching Indy even Crystal skull and for some reason I typed Indiana Jones into my search engine and the first hit that came up was the Daily mail story with Pedro head on it.

Forgive me for posting it. Daily mail bad

Pedro Pascal - he can act, do I like him? Meh. He’s been plastered everywhere and seems to be getting roles left right and centre.

I’ve mentioned before he’s Hollywood’s dream as he ticks all the boxes. Can act, not white but close enough and has correct politics and extremely vocal about them.

Granted in the thread I might have bedazzled my reason for disliking him but the truth is there. I find him un-masculine and annoying. He also seems to play up on his anxiety.

He’s everywhere now as others have said. Like come on I googled Indy and there he was staring at me!!

There’s been a push to un-masculine men and push metrosexual etc.

DEI - is it bad? No has Hollywood and everything media company handled it badly? You bet your bottom dollar they have.

Now I can’t remember if it was the Hollywood reporter or one of the press outlets (left leaning) admitted that after the first time Tump took office there was a movement in the press and Hollywood to force DEI down people’s throats and to Alienate fans and label any sort of criticism as one of the Isms.

They even went as far as label the time period the “DEI genre”

Disney- They have ran one or two of my favourite IP’s into the ground and one of the biggest hypocrites in Hollywood. I’m a little bit disgruntled. slight understatement. Others have mentioned deranged!!

Do I care if people believe me or not no.

Firstly, I shouldn't really have used the starred swear words, not really my style and probably a bit unnecessary. It wasn't meant to be name calling, but in reality it was just that.
As to how you found the story, again not really my business, I don't traverse much social media or media sites, and normally only notice these stories when a thread gets created on OcUK. All the "He's not masculine enough" is lost on me as I never see him outside of the content he stars in. If he is un-masculine in a particular role he plays, I would put that down to the director/producers anyway and not the actor.

For me an actor is generally judged on his presence on screen and (to some extent the numbers/money he pulls in). The guy has probably made a small fortune for Disney and WB/HBO/Discovery.

Personally, i think all of this could have stayed in the thread you created about Disney/Star Wars/MCU.

To me it seems like a lot of the negativity might be due to his Latin background and his sister being Trans. Again, I can't say for certain and maybe I am overthinking it. If people just stated I don't like him cos he's not fully white and his sister is Trans, I'd probably have more respect for them. Maybe i'm old fashioned, when I don't like someone, I don't tend to drag their family into it.

Anyway, no-ones minds are gonna be changed here, and I certainly didn't mean to upset anyone, so that is my last input in this thread.

In hindsight I probably should have checked out other articles before linking Pedro name to the reboot!! My bad

Which is probably the main takeaway here. A Indy reboot is on the way which i thought was pretty big news.

Yeah men can't struggle mentally, I forgot.
The thing to remember is that's also just one clip with an ai voice over.

It has all the tells of a bs video to get certain users to share it.

When in reality maybe they are close and he held her hand, or she's dating him, or a million other possible reasons.

Maybe the video is accurate, but it's just one clip and impossible to have any weight to it

If you guys could pick anyone who's under 60 years old to play Indy, who would it be, comon let's hear your bright ideas

Pedro Pascal is just the current Hollywood darling, they said Chris Pratt was going to get the role when he was the flavour of the month a few years ago.
