Induction Kit vs MPG ?

Yes, the induction kit will take in much more air and thus the ECU will throw in more fuel to compensate... thus giving you an extra 15bhp!

I may of course be lying and there will be no change in MPG... unless you floor it all the time.

After the initial 'omg loud noise' of it being fitted, I didn't notice any difference in MPG for my car with a cone filter, but have taken it off now due to being too damn loud on the motorway.

Fair enough - just wondering. You may laugh, but it's very nippy 0-30, and with Eagle F1's on it'll go round corners like nothing on earth. I was just wondering if there was a relatively easy way to liberate a little more power.

Corners like nothing on earth? it may handle ok, but its no Elise ;)

Theres honestly no real point doing any engine mods to the car, you wont make any noticable difference unless you spend some serious cash which isnt worth doing on a 1.2.

Spoken truely like someone who has never driven anything sporty.

You won't gain any BHP from an open cone induction kit unfortunatly, evan with a good air feed and heatshield, your still going to suffer from heatsoak, stick with a performance pannel filter :)

Fair play, i once thought my 1.1 saxo was quick and that it went round corners better than anything.

Save this thread and read it back in 2 years time, you will laugh ;)

Please don't buy that 'induction kit' waste of money won't give you anymore performance and you will look a pleb coming down the road roaring away yet being overtaken by foot traffic.....

Wel in my corsa 1.2 vauxhall powered missile I kept up with a veyron he was very embarressed, I didnt think it was very fair so I folded the back seats up (lower centre of gravity when they are down you know, extra 300bhp) and removed 2 of my 3 power resistors of justice (200 bhp each). It was a bit of a fairer fight then :D

Ive kept up with an F430 in my diesel leon before. The guy was trying, honest :)

Suprised you didn't leave him for dust tbh. Those diesel Leons are rapid!

The Scoob owner didn't look very pleased as I undertook him around a roundabout, while smoking my pipe and wearing my flat cap.
