Just had a quick go, graphics are quality :O

Had it running @ 1920x1200 everything maxed AA and AF full boot and it was a smooth as glass. Interested to see how much work my physx card was doing ?

Ill be definetly be picking this one up :)

Heh, heh. Did that a lot in the last area of the demo. Pretty annoying that you can't fall more than 10feet without dieing. Is there any middle ground where you just lose energy as it seems pretty harsh atm.

I've just tried it, with physX you have a little extra debris when shooting boxes etc, you have a brief liquid effect when shooting barrels, appart from that I can't see what else PhysX adds to the game, with it enabled it actually drops about 10fps when you shoot boxes, barrels etc, I think this is becuase of the extra effects, I just took the card out and put it back in my bottom draw, complete joke tbh.

The actual game though is quite enjoyable, I think the graphics engine is really sweet, smooth as silk even on my old prescott.

(this was tested on a 3.4 prescott + 7600gt as I can't fit the PPU in my main system :rolleyes: )

How do i disable the card without actually removing it?


Lowrider, why remove the card when it adds to the game????. I suffer NO slowdown what so ever. Although my graphics card has a lot more punch than yours though i spose.

I've only got a low wattage PSU in my secoundry system otherwise I may of kepted it in and I can't fit it in my main rig in my sig, anyhow the effects it give you are very small, infact the way the liquid just vanishes into fin air practicly straight away when you shoot the barrels is just pure annoying, thats not the way liquid acts, I'd rather have no liquid at all if it looks so silly, I'm suprised you don't get no frame drop, keep a keen eye on how low the fraps counter goes down when you blow up a crate using a fire ball attact (not sure of proper name, fire shooting from arm thing'ma'jiggy), then do the same with the card out the machine and retest, I don't suffer any noticeable slow down, I just lose about 10fps blowing things up with PhysX enabled, if I did'nt have fraps telling me what the fps was I would'nt have noticed the difference.

I havent run it with fraps but will be doing it tonight soon as i get home, thanks for all the info etc...

it's hardly a master piece. the voice acting is poor, the lighting is totally broken but graphics look good in places. i didn't enjoy it

Its polish what do you expect! Just cos it has a few bad voices and the odd graphical glitch doesn't make it a bad game.

Personally I really enjoyed the demo. Runs superb and looks the part too, thats rare these days as most games that look half decent run like a dog. The game play, which lets face it is the most important thing, is fun and interesting and the story is slightly generic with some rather interesting and original elements. On the whole its a good little game that I really enjoyed playing. :) Granted its not something that has much replayability, but its a cheap little game that will be good fun to blast through on a rainy Sunday night with a few beers at hand!
