Hi all.
Hope everyone is doing ok in these weird times and Also Hope you don’t mind a few n00b questions!
The time has come for me to splash out on a new pc... I currently have an Alienware Alpha R2 With an i7 6700T which is chugging away paired with a GTX1080Ti but it’s a pretty old and tired system now... Infact, it was old and tired when I bought it a couple of years ago
I’m fairly new to the world of pcs, but having previously owned the Alienware Alpha as I mentioned, I was to was keen to see the new Aurora R11 with the RTX3090 appear in the UK, but I’ve been reading some less than complimentary things about Alienware, and the specs of some of the hardware used, I find myself a little worried that the micro-ATX motherboard used would not be a great pairing for the new RTX gpus, and to that end this beast has caught my eye:

This looks like a much much much better and probably longer lasting solution.
I mainly play racing sims but also dabble in the odd AAA title, depending on when I have time to play them, I don’t tend to play competitively. I was thinking of speccing with the 3090 just because I’m fortunate enough to be able to splash out and I want something that’s going to last and keep up for a good few years to come.
I wondered if anyone had purchased a system from OCUK using the 10 month interest free option? and whether it was possible to drop a larger than the minimum deposit and then finance the remaining amount?
Also a couple of questions about this system being water cooled. I’ve never owned anything like this before. How does it work with water cooling? does this need to be emptied and refilled periodically? How often should one do this? How should one dispose of the old fluid?
Do these systems come with everything assembled? Or are there any parts which I would need to add at home before I could fire it up?
Regarding the setup and running, would
I need to do anything technical with regards to the overclocking or is it all setup ready to go before being shipped?
This system is probably very much overkill for what I need but, work hard, play hard right?
