A reliable source tells me that there will be a few Infinity dealers popping up soon across the UK. Not sure what I think of them. I do like the styling but don't think they are much cop performance wise.

I thought Infinty was just one of those US brands for the posher models of one of the Jap makers? Like posh Toyotas = Lexus, Posh Hondas = Acura, etc? Or am I wrong?

They have been in the UK for 3 years now with several centres and an underwhelming product range. Did a few thousand miles in a G37 last year and did a comparison on here with the 335i.

I quite like them but just too expensive IMHO, 37k starting for the g37 coupe, seems a lot.

They did seem very popular in the states.

I do like the 'reliable source' comment, he's clearly a well connected guy :D

Or perhaps its all public information on the Infiniti website :D

Theres one in Reading. I've dealt with them on several occasions but never bought a car from them. However its one of the nicer dealerships I've been to. Never driven an Infiniti but they usually have an excellent stock of other sports/luxury cars such as 911's, R8's, Conti GT's etc. I quite like the look of the G37 S and their SUV. The 5.0 V8 in them sounds epic.

they are nissans with a different badge, e.g. an infinity i35 is a nissan maxima. this is different from lexus/toyota. you can't buy a lexus that is basically a toyota camry, similarly there is no toyota that is a stripped down ls430.

my uncle has had an i30 since '98 and now has 293,000 on the clock. it still goes/stops etc pretty well for a car that old. my only bug bear with it is the short oil change intervals (just 3000 miles!)
