****ING FEDUP WITH WoW ACCOUNT PHISHER'S!!!!!

Hey guys,

I have been sent emails by World of Warcraft account phishers. Its becomming a pain in the ass right now. You can see how cunning these asses are being: - I will highlight the link that gives it away:

Subject: New Request Notification - Change the Login Address
From: [email protected] <-- how the **** can they do that?!

Hello,

Blizzard Entertainment recently received a request to change the e-mail address used to log in to the Battle.net account with the username (my email address)@hotmail.co.uk. The e-mail address k***@hotmail.com has been specified as the new username for this Battle.net account. An email has been sent to this new address containing a verification link to complete the change.

Once the new address has been verified, the e-mail address (my email address)@hotmail.co.uk can no longer be used to log in to this Battle.net account or any World of Warcraft accounts merged with this Battle.net account.

If you did not initiate this request, please click here <http://blizzard.worldofwarcraft.accountadmin-status.net/battle.html> to contact the Blizzard Billing & Account Services team immediately.

You know what makes it worse? I think its from one of those private servers I used to play on - I have not been on there for years now and their still pestering me with it. I know for a fact blizzard will never give my contact details away, it has to be those ****ing private servers. Just a warning to all of you be careful...

Solution. Don't go on private servers, they're dodgy. Problem solved.

Spoofed address have been around for ever. Ignore emails totally and check your accou:f your worridd, that goes for anything.

Plus should quit the rubbish game, it makes people angry and stupid.

Surely these will just end up in your spam filter? I get loads of them, just ignore than and ditch them with the rest of the spam.

I've received 2 of these identical emails this week from Blizzard/WoW etc.
I've never played WoW - these are just blanket spam emails to tens of thousands of people. Those that do play WoW think they're being targeted. Just like how I get phishing emails for Barclays, Natwest, Abbey and Halifax. I'm only with Halifax....

I play WoW in the OcUK guild. And i'll happily admit i'm not addicted and still have a life

Ohh, yeah I got this email today too. How I could tell is was a phishing email was because it was sent to an email address that has no connection whatsoever to Blizzard. I've also never played on a private server.
