Init command

I've always used init 6 (probably a bad habit) to reboot but since FC9 (could be earlier distro's to)has come along the init command is no long recognised, any one know why they would scrap init?
More of a annoyance than a problem.

Oh yeh that works fine, its just i'm used to using init 6. Old habits die hard.

They removed init? :confused:

Try telinit instead maybe?

Pretty sure I've used init to change runlevels on an FC9 system. Although changing to Upstart there is most likely a compatibility function.
