Inkjet Printers

My canon ip5000 has just died so I need a new photo printer that can also print on to DVDs/CDs

Only problem is that I understand that with the more recent model printers it is not possible to use cheapo compatible cartridges so you have to get ripped off by buying genuine overpriced ones.

Can anyone recommend a decent printer that will aloow me to keep my printing costs low?

My ip6600D has cheapish carts (under a tenner), just pop over to quidco and find the ink supplier with most cashback and use them.

Can't link (forum rules) but you should be able to get them for reasonable amounts, and normally some free stuff too.
