Inno3d RTX 3090 Problem

Final update , decided to give it one more go .

Reinstalled the 3090. Double and triple checked everything. Ran Furmark on 2k. It managed to run the test 2 times (while slowly heating up). On the 3rd attempt upon reaching 71 Degrees Celsius it did the same - Pink Dots into no signal on monitor.
I Will give OCUK a call in 20 mins and see what they can do to help.

I have already reseated it. Did not make a difference.
The 2x 6+2 connectors are from different cables from the PSU however the PSU is single rail. Randos from discord seem to suggest the OCP is triggering this but I tend to disagree since as Grim5 mentioned the visual artefacts tend to suggest a memory issue.

Diagnosing past problems that I can fix is pointless however. This is more of me just making sure I covered everything I could before I contact OCUK.

Thanks for all the suggestions and I am still open to new ones until OCUK opens and I can call them :)
This was one of the issues many reviewers had. The PSU was up to it, but the boost/draw behaviour of the 3000 series was tripping the protection circuits.
Hope you find a solution or test option. I just spent 2 months troubleshooting a faulty CPU, and it's not fun. XD

PS, if it was down to me, your fault sounds like a cracked solder joint on a VRAM chip. When it gets up to temperature, it separates ever so slightly from the board, causing missed signalling, or strange voltages/amps etc.
If you can, just insist on a *replacement now* as I got a run-around on the testing, as if your card passes 1 or 2 tests, I really hope OCUK keep it running to test 3, and don't just sent it back "working" like they did my cpu. :(

I just got off the phone with them and that's exactly what they said. They'll test it and if the problem i reported checks out i'll get it replaced.
Made the "mistake" of being truthful and saying 3 tests . If what you're saying is true you're not giving me much hope .... goodbye 2000 quid ?

I hope they don't run their tests in the freezer then.

Edit: This card pops really fast under load tho.... I sent a webnote asking them to ammend the recorded fault saying it has to warm up first. Hopefully things turn out okay.

Nah, just time. AMD did the proper tests (I assume, as they don't actually tell you what they test). I found core 5 to just die when going to power save/low power state (but as said, ran rock solid under load/normal boost behaviour). So you can always go to the manufacturer direct, but takes an age to do so. OCUK did the test and turn around really quick. Just annoyed they missed the fault (I have a 5800x now, and just sold the 5600x at a loss, as took to long waiting for it to return :( ). My replacement is rock solid, so can't see it being any fault of mine either.

Hope you get sorted! These things are so small and technologically advanced now, it means we have to put all our trust into the sellers and manufacturers. Not like you can get out a soldering iron and put a new transistor in it... well, not been like that for 40 years, but still. ;)

My specs are i7-10700k , 2x WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSDs (500gb and 1tb) , 1x wd 1tb HDD , 32gb ram and a 850W Rog Thor PSU , 3 Case fans , the 120mm water cooler fan for the CPU. All this in a Fractal design Vector RS blackout case. MB is ASUS Z490-F

Looks like a duff card to me. My specs are similar to yours except with a 3090FE, same PSU and I've had no issues. With a mild overclock on the CPU and GPU and the GPU power limit up I've hit 600w for the total system while gaming without any stability problems. Normally run the GPU undervolted though for a total of <550.

10700k, 32gb, 3090FE, Asus Z490E, 850 Thor, 1x nvme, 2x ssd, 2 x hd, 4 x 140 case fans, 3 x 120 on an AIO for the CPU and some RGB tat.
