** INSANE SAMSUNG 1440P 27" MONITOR 24HR DEAL!! **

tbh as a casual gamer im very happy with this purchase, the screen is nice and big and the games look awesome. This is my first 1440p monitor though so cant compare with other monitors but for the price its great.

Played some bf4 and didn't notice any lag

Well, after a couple of hours all I can say is WOW !

Whether it's just me, but i can't detect any lag or blurring of images with the games of run so far.
Tried Grid Autosport, Shadow of Mordor, Sniper Elite 3, Asetto Corssa, Alien, etc & they look stunning.

As far as the rest of the monitor, I'm impressed with the build quality.
Base is sturdy, with a nice ammount of adjustment. Need to go though a few settings just to get the colour exactly how I want it, but out the box isn' t
bad at all.

Here's some shots of my two. These arent exactly like they appear in the dark because of the panel glow the images are a little under exposed to hide the glow.

The last image is more in-line with how it looks in real world with the glow

Is that bad and is it noticeable in normal usage?

It looks bad to me, but then I don't plan on staring at a black screen in a dark room for long periods. ;)

It doesn't look too bad. It's a lot better than the monitor that I have currently (1080P Samsung TN panel). I won't be able to pick mine up until the afternoon now :(

I finally collected the monitor this afternoon and I have been running it now for a few hours and I am very impressed with it so far. The build quality is very good for the price and the height adjustable stand is very sturdy too.

The colours and contrast are very good and that is straight out of the box. I haven't calibrated the monitor yet and it is already much better than the monitor it replaces. There are no dead pixels and very little back light bleed.

Games seem to play very well on it and the lag that was mentioned earlier, it wasn't noticeable to be honest.

In summary, it’s a bit of a bargain.

Final comment from me on this, after a couple of days use, I have to say I'm very very happy with my purchase

Don't think I would have paid the original £600 price tag for it, but at £299 it's a bargain !

After recovering from the seared retinas suffered when turning on the monitor for the first time (how BRIGHT!!!!) I've been playing around with the settings. Sadly I don't have any proper calibration gear and to my eyes the screen does have a bit of a yellowish colour caste - I would be very interested to hear if anyone has a successful tweak to the RGB settings to adjust this.

When it comes to contrast however, I recommend you give the "Magic" Dynamic Contrast setting a go. It seems to get foxed slightly by dimming down too much on a black website with some white text, but most of the time it looks pretty good.

I had a slight scare when I fired up Borderlands 2 and it was just awful to play, however turning on V sync seems to have cured what was evidently my first experience of screen tearing and juddering.

+1 on the Magic setting. I keep mine on 'intelligent' and it does a nice job. Flicking it on/off, I definitely prefer it on for most things. Very impressed with the monitor overall, hard to find fault really. :)
