[Insert stars]Bioshock Infinite[/Insert Stars]

Finally a release date

BioShock Infinite will fly into retail on October 16 and 19 in North America and internationally, respectively, 2K Games just announced. The game will launch on Xbox 360, PC and PC; with the latter receiving Move support and a free copy of the first BioShock.

"After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition," said Irrational Games Creative Director Ken Levine. "BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can't wait for fans to get their hands on it."

So, prepare for a trip to Columbia this autumn and fight like it's 1999 (or, 1912, which is when the game is actually set).

Lost all interest in it already.

I have a strong feeling this is going to have collapsed behind the scenes under the weight of its own ambition, and ended up not much more than a corridor shooter with some fancy powers.

I can see what you mean but it'll only take a few new vids and some new gameplay features and I think everyone will be hyped up again.
 
Looking forward to this as well, but I'll be too deep in to Borderlands 2 then, so will sit on my shelf for some time I think!
 
Played the 1st, never finished it as got boring and well I kind of forgot about it.

Still to play the second, but this looks bloody good. Must buy from me so far.
 
I really did think it was going to be out far sooner than October, considering all the videos/gameplay they've shown so far. Oh well.
 
Thought the first one was really good and 2nd was just average so ill hold out for a demo on this one cant decide if its a first day buy yet.
 
About time I bumped this thread, kinda lost all interest in gaming over the past year (hence the lack of updates in this thread) but not much longer left to go before this is finally released :)
 
Amazon says 26th March! Saw an advert the other day (think it was when I went to see The Hobbit) - looking very nice. If reviews are favourable then I'm definitely interested in this one.

Loved the first one and unlike some (most?) people I actually quite liked the second one aswell.
