Inserting flash makes whole page flash ?

It is changing URL so it should flash when it changes.. as any webpage does. Only if you built the entire site in Flash would you not get that.. but its not good practice.

It depends on the latency surely whether the flash/flicker is that noticeable or not?

They both look the same to me here in Prague since I am guessing the servers are in the UK so will take fractionally longer for me to reach the sites.

hmmm strange even when i test both locally on my PC i get the flash with flash inserted and no flash with no flash inserted ! lol you still following ?

i dont really notice a flash with most sites when surfing

Yep I can understand what you mean but I get flashes/flickers on both versions. Not every click but only on some.

Same here. Flashes on both versions. Im guessing that testing it locally doesnt introduce latency or download speed issues.

Ah I see what you mean. Yeh the flash file seems to be forcing a redraw of the page. I doubt there is a way around this, it seems to be a browser render issue. The non-flash pages change fine until you go to games which has flash on it, and the whole page flashes while it caches the Flash...

NB. this would be less confusing if we didnt use flash, Flash and cache..

yay u got what i meant :D phew

as soon as i take the flash out of any site im doing it works flawlessly but a site without flash is going to be a bit dull imo there must be a way of making it work and still validate
