Insta360x3 Help

I just got a insta360x3 and am struggling to use it .

Everything seems straightforward, - hit record, run around, then... how do you stop recording ? - The button that you press to record, - the little o doesn't do anything. The screen is still responsive, and you can see the record timer ticking along and swipe the viewport around.

The only way to stop recording is to hold the power button. However then I'm left with corrupted insv files. Which the insta 360 studio cannot open.
Same thing happens with the insta SD card & a sandisk v3 pro extreme, & different batteries. The firmware is upto date.

I'm a bit lost, is it me or is this unit broken ?

Try turning on quickcap in the settings, this puts it straight into video mode when you switch it on.

Thanks - that was already enabled. I just cant figure out how to stop recording video.

Just to update, the POS is definitely malfunctioning. A short video or similar it behaves as expected, the "record" button works to start-stop recording. Pretty much anything longer than a few mins and it "soft locks" so you cannot stop recording without force turning it off, which then results in corrupted files.
