Hi,

Basically my dad has decided to ditch his IDE drive and his desktop PC for his laptop, so ive nicked his 80GB drive. Its got windows and everything on it, which i do not want as i want it as a storage device not a drive with an OS on. Im using my SATA 80GB drive currently, and installing the second IDE drive causes a BSOD upon bootup.

Is there any way i can totally wipe this drive without having to go though the XP disk which will format then reinstall a copy of XP?

Cheers

Ive got it defaulted to boot from the SATA drive in *** BIOS, so id imagine its booting from it.

I didnt think to try and format it then cancel it after the format, been trying to do it in knoppix but dunno how the hell to use knoppix :p Ill try doing that now.
