caught glimpses of a few titles scattered accross threrads both steam and retail that use install limits.

just wondered is there a list out there with these titles as i chop and change stuff quite a lot also some noob style overclocks mess up my OS. I like to try and avoid these titles unless they have a de-authorisation tool like crysis warhead also how do steam deal with install limits as it's not something i've come across until recently.

why, what is the point.
If you want to play a game play it.
All you have to do is contact customer support and they unlock the install limits.

yes in the case of EA takes a weeks worth of emails explaining why u used more than 5 installs or faffing around on a phone for an hour at a exstortionate rate.
also it's at their descretion if they give you another key.

How does steam deal with this would you contact steam or the developer

I understand the question and I don't like these limits either.

Anyway, to start the list:

Anno 1404
DCS: Black Shark
ArmA II

2 others I can't remember.

Arma 2? Didn't notice that. Did they remove it for the steam version?

As for DCS:-Black Shark (and Lock On:- FC2), you can install as much as you like, as long as the hardware and OS is the same. You can also use the deactivation tool if you are changing something. Even then, they are pretty decent in giving new activations should they be necessary.
