install new graphics card then 1 beep

i recently bought a 6800 GT of MM, i installed it correctly (i think, removed the old 1 and put new 1)

i turn the PC on there is immediately 1 long continous beep, and i have NO idea what to do!!!

how do i find out the psu watts? mine was a pre built system

o and my old card waws 9600 128MB ati

You need to uninstall the ati drivers 1st - but that is not your prob atm - have you plugged the power (a molex) into the gfx card?

Try reseating it the card as well

Its a power cord - same as what you plug into a hard drive - the 4 pin thing!

Yeah one long beep normally means the power is not in the card, well does for me anyway
