install om a m2 drive on a z99 pro gamer

hello
i have a samsung m2 ssd, i just cannot get it to instal on my z99 pro gamer mboard, the bios is uptodate and is set to default.

can someone please explain how to install this device

You will need to enable it in UEFI BIOS, go to Advanced Menu/Onboard Devices Configuration and you will see M.2 PCIe mode then enabled it.

ok thank you, its found it just installing windows it comes up with thks error

setup was unable to create a new systwm partition or locate an exixting system partician, see the setup log file for more info?

any ideas on how to solve this?

Which Windows version did you ran setup installation?

i dont know that, im going to try and downwload a different win7 and see if that does the trick

hi,
ive tryed a different version of win7 and its still tyhe same?
but it is now recognised in the bios though

ok ive got a different error now, it says windows cannot be installed on this disc the hardware may not support booting to this disc?

any ideas how to get this going?

Ah I figured it out now, the reason setup cannot created new partition because it not ran setup on UEFI mode.

So you will need to leave USB stick plug in then boot into UEFI, you should see USB stick UEFI icon, just click that icon and USB will boot Windows 7 setup in UEFI mode and then it will create new partition without issue.
