Okay so I got my new upgrade.

CPU: Intel Core I5 3570k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb LP 1600mhz
Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE
SSD: Samsung 830 128gb

While installing I found out my Optical drives cannot be used as they are IDE and there is no IDE socket on the board. (They are 5 years old anyway.) So Until I buy a Sata Optical Drive I'm stumped on how to install windows. I've seen many people say 'Who uses optical drives nowadays' So I guess there is some way of installing windows without one. Would love to know how as at the moment I've got a pretty much useless machine :)

I do my windows installs off a USB stick, 8GB. I forget how to do it but the information is just a google away.

ok two ways
virtual, i use magicdisc virtual but there is many
other way is usb stick, microsoft even provide an app for this, maybe google that or some1 else can paste it

Yeah I'm using my Macbook Atm. Downloaded that and Ran it but its asking for an ISO file. On Microsofts website It says I need to purchase one from their site : /

Check out a recent post on here, someone having problem installing win7 and probably due to using a usb stick, or that's what caused it for me - maybe you'll get lucky :p

I just copy the contents of the disk onto a USB drive (formatted NTFS, not sure if that matters) and that seems to always work with modern systems.

I've always installed windows 7 from a USB stick (starting from when I had a Netbook with no DVD drive and Windows 7 Beta) and never had problems.
