installing 1155 CPU

Hello..

trying to install 1155 2500k CPU atm but when I push the lever down it gives a lot of resistance.. too much for me to think its safe to push any harder

I have just checked my order history and confirmed I ordered what I intended

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Any ideas?

I pushed harder and it started to scream.. but I kept pusing and now its in

Ive installed many cpu's but that didnt feel right at all

Just make sure it is inserted correctly, and the gold arrow matches the arrow printed on the motherboard.

Don't do what this poor person did :eek:
