Installing a core duo heatsink

I had a right time getting mine in, got really NO SWEARING off with it and bent one of the white plastic pins. Went downstairs to chill out for a bit, bent the pin back and they all went in with ease, no force required. Felt a bit silly after that!

Quite easy to fit, but its annoying as only the first pin clicks when it goes in so its hard to tell if there in properly. When I fitted mine first it wasn't seated properly and the crappy thermal paste that comes with it wasn't making a good contact so I was getting high temps. Clean the standard stuff off and use some Arctic silver or something.

Can't stand the LGA775 retention mechanism, on my scythe infinity you can't even get to the little clip things as the heat sink runs right over them making it almost impossible to turn them to get them undone.
