what board is it? you wanna use the intel sata3 ports,use the marvell ports if you dont have intel sata3
important: remember to set to ahci mode in the bios before you install windows,this will give best read/write on the ssd

yeah your fine,use the intel sata3 ports they will be best reliability/performace wise,set the sata port to ahci mode in the bios first,then install windows
use the first sata3 port aswell as the bios will detect that port first
any dvd burners plug into intel sata2 ports 4/5(or the last two ports)
