Installing a sub and amp?

Like i said if thats what works for you, all depends on the car, i could run all the power wires next to my rca wires in the clio and it didn't matter one bit, in the mx5 i get induced voltage in the wires.

and alternator whine with the volume turned up ?

Or down it doesn't matter, its a combo of grounding / induced voltage in the wires and perhaps a bad supressor on the alternator.
