Hi there
I've just got myself a new cooler for my P3 866mhz (yes I know it's really old....) I understand the basics of removing the stock cooler and fitting the new one but it's the first time I've ever done it and I wondered if anyone could give me any advice or tips
One thing I am uncertain about is how much thermal paste to use. Various things I've read seem to contradict each other. Some places have said to use a small amount (rice grain sized) and then use something like a scapel or credit card to spread it over the surface of the CPU.
Other places have said place a small amount on the CPU and put the heat
sink in place and allow that to spread the paste???
Any advice and tip much appreciated!!!
