installing an ssd- bios settings?

Hey guys, ordered my SSD last night and it is here already! To install it do I just set it to ahci, and that's it? It will be my OS and games drive. Samsung 830 256GB. It will be a clean install.

Does trimm happen automatically?
Is it beneficial to install the magic software?

yes and yes,set to ahci first,install windows,install intel rapid storage drivers as they increase performance and install magician tool

Thanks for the help! Intel say that the Rapid Storage Drivers are only for raid- do I still need them? Do I also need to find 'some sort of software/drivers' for my P55 chipset?

yes you can still use them,they are for raid and ahci

dont need any additional drivers just those above,you install them from within windows when your up n running
